Corporate Members Forum Tutorial

Welcome to the RRDi Forum Tutorial Page

The best place to get help in managing the RRDi Forum is the HELP page.
Please refer to the HELP page before you ask our volunteers for assistance which is located by clicking the top right button in the members' forum.

If you are new to our forum this page below will give you a tutorial and help solve most problems you may be experiencing. It should take you about 15 minutes to go through this tutorial, by scrolling down this page.

1. If you haven't registered, click on the JOIN link (or in the left menu). Follow the instructions and jot down your user id and password you create and keep it in a place you can remember.

2. Are you able to log into the forum? Click on MEMBERS (or in the left menu). The MEMBERS link goes to the RRDi forum for those who have already registered as a corporate member. Or you can access the forum at this url >

You will see the following log in boxes near the top right:

If you have registered already and remember your user id and password click on SIGN IN. If you haven't registered click on REGISTER. You should now see the following page:

Enter your user id and password. It is a good idea to be able to easily log in again to check the box REMEMBER ME if you are using your own personal computer. If you are using a public computer or someone else's computer you might want to check the box SIGN IN ANONYMNOUSLY.

If you didn't jot down your user id, email administration to retrieve your user id. Tell us who you are and the email you used to join the forum. You can also log in with your Facebook account by clicking on the box to the right:

If you know your email address you used to join and remember your user id but forgot your password simply click on the link under the password box:

Follow the instructions at the above link to retrieve your password. If you still can't access the forum, please email administration and explain what happened.

If you can access the forum you will see the following page:

Look for the the third item menu in the above page which says, "Ask the MAC." See below:

The above forum is for MEMBERS to ask the MAC Members questions.

The public ASK THE MAC forum is the third forum just under Members Forum - Rosacea Topics and just above Ask the Board. Click on the public Ask the MAC >

You will then see the following page below:

The Ask the MAC forum has one SUBFORUM called Meet the MAC Members which is near the top. Click on Meet the MAC Members. You should see the following page:

If you note at the top, you will see a menu that shows where you are in the forum:

However, you can click on RRDi Member Forum at the far left and it brings you back to the main page. If you click on RRDi Home next to the Geen Tab Forums you will be brought back to the official home page of the RRDi web site.

You will see above the pinned topics of some of the professionals in the ASK THE MAC forum, giving an introductory post. If you click on Ask the MAC in the above menu, you will return to the Ask the Mac forum with the subforum, Meet the MAC Members and below this subforum are a number of topics that have been posted by corporate members.

Any member may post an introductory post, or anyone can post a question or a comment by clicking on START NEW TOPIC near the top right. Look for this button:

Start a New Topic

Click on START NEW TOPIC and post your question or comment.

3. Question:

What if I want to REPLY to a topic already posted?
ANSWER:

Let's go throught the steps. In the ASK THE MAC forum, if you click on the Subforum, Meet the MAC Members you will find the following topic at near the top:

Click on Pinnded: INTRODUCTION - ROBERT T. BRODELL, M.D. (the third pinned topic)
You will then be taken to this page >

You will see above Dr. Brodell's introductory post and a reply under it from Jenny. If you scroll down you will see more posts. If you would like to post to this topic you can click on ADD REPLY at the top (which will add your reply to the current topic which is Dr. Brodell's introductory post) or NEW TOPIC which will start a whole new topic in the ASK THE MAC forum. Be sure to add a SUBJECT in the subject box.

Above each post near the top right you will see the following buttons:

Watch - Add - Start Topic

If you click on the WATCH THIS TOPIC button you will be directed to email choices where you will be notified if someone posts something new in this thread. If you click on the ADD REPLY button your post will be added to the thread after you type your comment. If you click on START A NEW TOPIC it will begin a completely new topic with a subject heading you fill in and make your comment.

Under each post or comment in a thread to the bottom right you will note these buttons:

Reply - Multiquote

Clicking the REPLY button will quote the post just about it and you can type your comment either at the beginning of the quote or at the end. Most posters will begin typing AFTER the quote and make a comment and then click on the ADD REPLY button by scrolling down till you see this button:

That should give you enough info to begin posting.

FOR MAC MEMBERS:

There is a SPECIAL PRIVATE forum for members of the Medical Advisory Committee. This special private forum is for MAC members (and board of directors) is to be able to use as a private conference between members of the MAC only. This can be found by scrolling down to the bottom until you see this:

Click on Medical Advisory Committee Private Forum to post or view.

FOR GRANT WRITERS:

There is a SPECIAL PRIVATE forum for members of the volunteer GRANT WRITERS. This special private forum is for GRANT WRITERS (and board of directors) is to be able to use as a private conference between GRANT WRITERS only. This can be found by scrolling down to the bottom until you see this:

 Click on GRANT WRITERS PRIVATE FORUM to view or post.
