Sample Email or Letter to A Physician to Serve on the MAC
Dear Dr. so and so:
I am one of the members of the Rosacea Research and Development Institute which was founded June 7, 2004 and is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) approved non profit organization. The board of directors is made up of those suffering from this disease. The RRDi website can be found at >

My personal experience with rosacea has been... [fill in the blank]
Many rosaceans have been frustrated at the current research on rosacea and that is why the institute was formed and why I am a member of the RRDi and a volunteer.
The RRDi would like to invite you to volunteer to be on the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) until we have the funding to be able to compensate MAC members for their services to the institute. If you could volunteer about a quarter of an hour a month answering emails from fellow MAC members and the board of directors which is the limit of the volunteer service needed for the first year we would appreciate your expertise in advising us on rosacea research. Since we have little to no funding at present there is little to decide about rosacea research and much to discuss. The RRDi will provide links to your web site in return for your volunteering. You may see who currently are volunteering on the MAC at this url >

Please give this some thoughtful consideration and we appeal to your graciousness by indulging us with your giving us research advice as a volunteer. If you are interested please email your CV, photo and what links you want under your name to:
director@irosacea .org
Thank you for considering this appeal.
Sincerely,
[your name]
